WHY HAVE YOUR PET MICROCHIPPED?
EVERY YEAR IN THE UK AT LEAST 300,000 ANIMALS ARE LOST OR STOLEN.
MOST ANIMALS CANNOT BE RETURNED HOME AS THEIR OWNERS CANNOT BE INDENTIFIED.
MICROCHIPPING IS A QUICK PROCESS WHERE YOUR DOG/CAT SHOULD FEEL NO MORE DISCOMFORT THAN A CONVENTIONAL INJECTION.
A Microchip is approx 11mm which uses radio frequency technology and cannot be tampered with, fade or be removed. The chip is passive and needs no power or battery to send the unique chip number to a microchip reader. The chip is deposited between the shoulder blades and the prepacked sterile needle houses the mirochip.
The microchip is manufactured by AEG, one of the Europes largest companies and complies to ISO 11784/ISO 11785 together with meeting the requirements of the Pet Travel Scheme. Each microchip has a unique number which will be registered on the Kennel Clubs Petlog Central Database. Petlog is the UK's largest reunification database which operates 24 hours a day and offers this service throughout your pets lifetime.
I have achieved my Certificate of Competence as a Microchip Implanter. I was fully trained by a Peddymark Trainer in all aspects of microchipping/hygiene. (Peddymark Complies with the BSAVA Code of Conduct for Microchip Distributors).
We offer a mobile microchipping service within the Bangor/Newtownards Area. We can come to your home/premises or you can come to ours if you wish. Other postal areas can be facilitated subject to prior arrangement. As we are involved in showing our dogs and attend dog shows throughout Ireland a suitable time can be arranged to microchip at these events.

£16 FOR ONE PET (At your home or ours within Bangor/Newtownards)
£15 EACH FOR TWO PETS (At your home or ours within Bangor/Newtownards)
£14 EACH FOR THREE PETS OR MORE (At your home or ours within Bangor/Newtownards)
Many vets may offer a special price however usually charge a consultation fee in addition to their reduced rate.
